About Me

I'm Jordan, and this is my attempt at chronicling my adventurous through training, racing, and occasionally other life stuff that pertains to riding bikes.

My journey into bike racing started through triathlon. Both of my parents competed semi-competitively in them as a kid, and I wanted to be like them. I always liked riding the most though. I competed in my first bike race when I was 16 years old. I got 2nd in a juniors race and had won a prime of a free entry into the state championship criterium race a few weeks later... which was my seconds bike race. I got schooled, but was hooked on bike racing. Throughout the rest of high school I ran cross country in the fall and raced bikes at the Driveway and occasional TXBRA calendar events, when I could get off from the job I had gotten at my LBS. In college, I stopped running, and after a semester of settling in (not riding the bike), I  really started training for the first time. I did that for two years, and last year had by far my most successful season to date. I learned how to TT, won 3 races, podiumed in every state championship event I entered, and blew almost all of my goals out of the water. 2014 is my first season as a Cat 2, and first with Super Squadra.
